There are so many choices to be made when you are looking for a home security system. The first one of course is whether or not to even get one at all. That my friends is the starting point-do I get a home security system or not? Once you've got past that hurdle, the going gets really tough.

The number of choices and alternatives can be truly daunting. Indoor, outdoor, or both; wired or wireless; monitored or unmonitored; how many monitoring stations; windows, doors or all; smoke detector, radon, fire, the list seems almost endless.

It is not a subject to be taken lightly either. Did you know that more people have security systems for their cars than their houses? Homes are only the biggest investment most people have. Last year the average was well over $200,000 invested the home not to mention the furnishings, landscaping, etc. maybe another $100,000. So how does it not make sense to protect it? It doesn't!!

So what do you do, get a guard dog? Hire a security guard? Get an elaborate home security system? Or can you get by with something less? Like most other things in life it boils Radon System to money. WHAT A SHOCK!

The fact is no matter what your economic status or the value of your home and furnishings you should have some kind of protection. People usually turn to a local security company to get some assistance. Gosh what do you think they'll tell you?

Another fact is that you can spend nothing to just about an unlimited amount on home security-there are that many choices. It may come as a shock that the best security doesn't necessarily cost you a lot. Conversely the most elaborate system doesn't guarantee your security. So there has to be a middle ground.

If a burglar has targeted your home and your neighborhood he will get in-just a fact!
Your job is to figure out a way to slow him down or prevent him all together from reaching his goal. How you do that is a function of how much you want to spend and how vulnerable your home is.
